This policy covers all apps published by coderipper (the developer identity of Joaquin Soza). It starts with the stance that applies to everything, then gives a section for each app.
01The short version
coderipper apps do not collect, transmit, store remotely, or sell any personal data. There are no analytics SDKs, no advertising, no third-party trackers, and no accounts. Nothing you do in the apps is sent to us or to anyone else.
Because there is no server and no account, there is no personal data for us to look up, export, or lose. Any information an app keeps lives on your device, under your control.
02Speedometer
Speedometer is a GPS speedometer for iPhone. Here is exactly what it does with data:
- Location. The app uses your device’s GPS location only while the app is open, to calculate your current speed. There is no background location access.
- Coordinates are never stored. Your location coordinates are used momentarily to compute speed and are never saved or transmitted. They never leave your device.
- Trip statistics stay on your device. When you record a trip, the app stores its summary — date, duration, distance, and maximum and average speed — locally on your device only. This history is never uploaded anywhere.
- You’re in control of that history. Trip data is deleted when you delete it in the app or when you uninstall the app.
- No third parties. No third-party services, SDKs, or analytics are used. Nothing is transmitted off the device.
03Future apps
New coderipper apps will get their own section here before they are released, describing what — if anything — they do with data. The general stance above is the default we design to.
